Evelyne is the new Marianne, emblem of the Republic of France
Replacing the delicious Laeticia Casta is Evelyne Thomas, host of the popular French afternoon TV show, "It's My Choice." Definitely a new direction for the French: previous Mariannes included Mireille Mathieu, Brigitte Bardot, and Catherine Deneuve.
